Milkshake Madness Recently my elderly mother has taken a liking to eating Big Macs. I’m not so much a fan myself but am happy to take her out to the local Maccas for a Big Mac meal as a treat and it’s nice to spend some time together. Personally, I prefer a milkshake and here’s a problem, you see on the last few occasions the milkshake machine at the local Maccas hasn’t been working. Apparently, according to Stacey on the drive thru checkout, it’s always breaking down and they are waiting for parts to fix it. In my mind I’m thinking that selling milkshakes is probably a ‘good earner’ and to have the machine not working is lost revenue – not a good place to be! My nephew, Scott Aldous, is running the London Marathon this year to raise funds for the Pilgrims Hospices. Scott is running in memory of his mum, Jane, my sister, who was looked after by the wonderful caring staff at the Pilgrims Hospices.
